Chicago Bulls

CHI gets: Gordon HaywardDante Exum

UTA gets: Derrick Rose

Let’s get weird, shall we?

Chicago is about to be a shell of the team you saw this year, and if you think that was bad, brace yourself (Bulls fans, you might want to look away).

Hypotheticals aside, Chicago could seriously lose Jimmy ButlerPau GasolJoakim NoahTaj Gibson, and/or Derrick Rose this offseason in some way, shape, or form this offseason. Talk about being left empty-handed.

The fact of the matter is that Chicago needs young talent as their ‘core’ was made up of older, established veterans who are now about to leave, and fast. Luckily, Utah is in desperate need of a PG and may be willing to part with young Dante Exum to do so.

But what about Gordon Hayward? Well, Chicago desperately needs a scoring wing to pair with Butler, but if he’s gone, then the Bulls need scoring period. They’d have to sacrifice multiple 1st rounders, but it’d be worth it in the immediate and long run I think.

Exum could replace Rose and be a franchise cornerstone too if he recovers from his ACL tear fully (They also just traded for Spencer Dinwiddie for a little insurance for Rose anyways; who by the way, IMHO has starter upside).
