Cleveland Cavaliers

CLE gets: a championship and Kyle Korver and Tim Hardaway Jr.

ATL gets: Iman Shumpert

This trade could work without draft picks I think, and it works out for both sides.

I know that I said earlier Cleveland should trade Kyrie and Love in order to keep LeBron happy, but let’s say they’re not moved and they are looking instead of how to make the team better for next year’s title run.

Earlier in the season Korver was linked to being a trade target for Cleveland. Kyle Korver is one of my favorite players in the NBA – he’s hardworking, humble, and a team leader. But as he gets later and later into his NBA career, he most likely won’t be winning a championship in Atlanta, so he could look to get traded to a contender. Cleveland is a perfect fit.

Atlanta needs to get younger at the 2 position, and Iman Shumpert would step in right away and contribute.

Korver probably wouldn’t start in Cleveland, regardless of whether or not they resign J.R. Swish, but coming off the bench he could fill a Ray Allen-like role for the Cavs. Tim Hardaway just provides some scoring punch off the bench alongside Korver, as the duo can play either the 2 or 3.
