Love To The Pistons

Stan Van Gundy has already showed that he has an amazing ability to take pedestrian stretch-fours and turn them into elite producers in his offense. Give the man Kevin Love and he may give you a howitzer cannon in return. That’s about where the fit stops, though.

The team has already paid big money to Reggie Jackson and will likely be doing the same for Andre Drummond this summer. The two were outstanding together in the pick-and-roll and it’s hard to see Love fitting into that without alienating one of the two, if not both.

The only way to really work him in around that is ask him to be a three-option for Jackson to kick out onto during the pick-and-roll and/or facilitate in the high elbow. Otherwise known as EXACTLY what he’s doing in Cleveland…so yea, not ideal.
