Chinanu Onuaku, F, Louisville

Onuaku is known for being tough as nails. The 6’10, 245-pound big man out of Louisville was a major rim protector and strong rebounder in college. Both are skills that transition well to the NBA. ESPN’s Chad Forde also says Onuaku “has an NBA body” and counts him among his last of players to climb the draft ladder come Thursday.

But a medical condition leaves many NBA scouts questioning Onauaku’s reliability. He suffered from a heart condition back in May. A same-day procedure corrected a previously undetected rhythm issue. Plus, Onauaku is just 19 years old and in top physical shape. Still, there is a chance the medical issue while scare off scouts.

The Courier-Journal reports Onauaku is working out for multiple teams, including Charlotte, Denver, Milwaukee and Toronto. Out of those four squads, Milwaukee makes the most sense. They’re top scorers are athletic, thin-built wings and could use a thick bruiser to occupy the paint. The Bucks have the 36th and 38th pick. There’s a solid chance Onuaku falls somewhere in there.
