15. Denver Nuggets: Timothe Luwawu

The Denver Nuggets got the ideal backcourt mate for Emmanuel Mudiay earlier in the draft when they selected Buddy Hield. It addressed a major need for perimeter shooting, and due to his 4 year development in college he’ll be more NBA ready than most other draftees this year.

With the 15th pick, that allows the Nuggets to be a bit more risky. In the past they’ve shown an affinity for foreign selections beyond the lottery and I see that pattern holding true yet again. Timothe Luwawu, a 20 year old from France is a big risk/big reward type of talent who may or may not pan out in the NBA.

Luwawu is a great athlete with good size on the wing, both of which make him an attractive commodity for a young team looking to piece together a core that’ll eventually contend down the road.
