21. Atlanta Hawks: Malachi Richardson
The Atlanta Hawks have a number of question marks to deal with entering the offseason. A Conference Semi-Finals exit was expected but still stung for the organization, after it finished with the East’s best record and a trip to the Conference Finals a year ago. Most notably the team needs to address the lack of scoring options on the wings.
After picking up Denzel Valentine at 12, this is the perfect situation for the Hawks to continue their rebuild with the selection of Malachi RIchardson out of Syracuse. He’s a talented scorer, and his solid play helped power the Orange to a surprising run during March Madness.
He’s an athletic wing with a long, wiry frame which will lend itself to him developing even further on both ends.
