Pick: Wade Baldwin IV

This is my guy.

With the potential of losing Mike Conley in free agency this summer, selecting a point guard in the draft was a must for the Grizzlies. If nothing else, for insurance purposes. They achieved that by selecting Wade Baldwin IV out of Vanderbilt.

Yes, he may struggle around the rim but has an NBA body and can shoot the basketball. He’s a combo guard that has shown the ability to play both the 1 and 2. He still has ways to go was a complete basketball player, but he’s a solid roll of the dice by the Grizzlies.

A necessary one, if you will.
