NBA Draft Grades 2016: Sixers, Nuggets Finally Get It Right
By Tony Webb
Atlanta Hawks
Draft Picks: Taurean Prince (From Utah) No. 12, DeAndre Bembry No. 21, Isaia Cordinier No. 44
The Hawks started draft week off early with a bang, dealing long time point guard Jeff Teague to the Pacers, but the draft seemed to focus of finally finding a replacement for DeMarre Carroll and the possible departures of Al Horford and Kent Bazemore.
A big chunk of my collegiate basketball viewing tunes into the Big XII so I had a chance to view Prince multiple times this past season. A smart defensive player, who rebounds very well for his size and can hit shots at a decent range. His biggest tool will being able to guard multiple positions.
Bembry is a great athlete, good transition player and attacks the basket well. Not quite a finished project, but eventually could find himself playing the 3 on a consistent basis.
Cordinier is a young, athletic shooting guard who is certainly a draft and stash player who could develop into a NBA guard in a few years.
