Season Summary

The Utah Jazz finished the 2015-16 season with a 40-42 record to only have their postseason hopes dashed on the final day of the NBA regular season. If you don’t remember that, you may remember a man by the name of Kobe Bryant going off for 60 points in his final game of his illustrious Hall of Fame career against the Utah Jazz.

While the Jazz didn’t make the postseason (and honestly, if they did make it as the 8th seed, they would have given the Warriors a hard-fought series), it’s not entirely their fault.

The Jazz lost 2014 lottery pick Dante Exum to a torn ACL prior the season, and had key players miss major time due to injuries throughout the season making their season an uphill battle.

Despite all this, head coach Quin Snyder and company helped create one of the league’s best defenses led by the frontcourt duo of Derrick Favors and Rudy (the Stifle Tower) Gobert.
