San Antonio Spurs

Notable Additions: Pau Gasol, Dewayne Dedmon

Free Agency Grade: B+

It’s tough to say that the San Antonio Spurs had a nice offseason, especially considering what their competition out West just pulled off. Nevertheless, you can never go wrong when adding Pau Gasol.

He’s a few years past his prime and doesn’t play much defense, but he’s still productive a posted borderline all-star stats a year ago. Especially if Tim Duncan retires, adding a player like Gasol will give them the insurance they need.

The only question I have is: why do they keep getting slower and older along the frontline? It didn’t work against the Oklahoma City Thunder in last year’s playoffs, and it won’t work against the new-look Warriors.

I suppose that’s what Dewayne Dedmon is for?
