After a landscape-changing NBA Free Agency period, we try to sort it all out by predicting the 2016-17 Western Conference playoff field

I don’t think anyone could’ve predicted the type of movement we just witnessed during free agency, not even if you tried.

Even though Kevin Durant was taking meetings, I believe that most expected him to re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder. That didn’t happen.

Tim Duncan flirted with the idea of retiring, but we all surely expected him to return for another season with the Spurs. That didn’t happen.

And the same could be said about a number of other players this summer. Instead, the landscape of the NBA has shift a little – certainly in the Western Conference.

In any event, after all the movement that has taken place this summer, we decided to try and predict how the Western Conference playoff picture will take place this summer.
