MVP: Nneka Ogwumike (LA Sparks)

It seems that Nneka’s theme song should be ASAP Ferg’s “New Level” because that’s what she’s playing at this season. She was named Western Conference Player of the Week for the 3rd time this season; she’s shooting 71 percent from the field, averaging her career best 19.5 points per game, and seems to be picking up double-doubles like a magnet (12 to be exact).

Her younger sister, Chiney, who plays for the Connecticut Sun, had this to say about her big sis,

"She is laser-focused. Very focused on her job at hand and her team is very unselfish in the sense that they always find the open man. “Since she moves a lot and is a hard worker, she tends to be the one who is open. I think the Sparks have figured it out. You pass up good shots for great shots and for a long time, (Nneka) has taken a back seat with regard to conversations of dominant players in the WNBA. Finally, people are starting to hear her out loud because of the stats.”"

Honorable Mention: Candace Parker(LA Sparks), Tina Charles(NY Liberty), & Maya Moore(Minnesota Lynx)
