Rules to Keep in Mind
- In 1968 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, formerly known as Lew Alcindor, boycotted the Olympics due to the unfair treatment of African-Americans. With that said, for the sake of these teams, we are going to disregard the various external conflicts going on in the different era’s. That way we’re seeing the best collection of talent possible.
- In the late ‘60s and ‘70s, basketball wasn’t just limited to the NBA. Of course I am referring to the ABA, a league with less emphasis on Russell, Wilt and Kareem – and more on having fun. So don’t be surprised if you see a few ABA players show up on our list.
- Each team will consist of 12 star players, using the All-Star and All-NBA teams as a reference. Along with a head and one assistant coach.
