So much debate takes place daily from the Twitter to the barbershop on who really is better than who when it comes to NBA all-time lists.
Unfortunately, most of these heated arguments tend to be opinion based. After all, there’s really no one clear scientific way to pinpoint to who the best players to every play the game are. At least not yet.
As is the case in almost every subject, some people’s opinions might be more logical and less narrowed minded than others. At the end of the day, though, the only real facts are the numbers.
Which is exactly how I’ve arrived at my all-time top 10 NBA players list. Before we dive into the list, here’s a quick key:
- WS: Win Shares
- VORP: Value Over Replacement
- DRTG: Defensive Rating
- ORTG: Offensive Rating
- PPG: Points Per Game
- APG: Assist Per Game
- RPG: Rebounds Per Game
- DWS: Defensive Win Shares
- OWS: Offensive Win Shares
