No. 10: Bill Russell, C, Boston Celtics

Chief Accolades – 11x NBA Champion, 5x NBA MVP, 12x NBA All-Star, 11x All-NBA Player

Stats – 13 Seasons, 15.1 PPG, 22.5 RPG, 4.3 APG, (No Advanced Stats)

It doesn’t get any more legendary than Mr. Bill Russell. The man who has the most NBA Championships (11) had to, at the very least, make this list. The Celtic great was one of the very first dominant forces the NBA saw.

In a time where not much effort was put into stats, Russell’s greatness, especially as a defender, is not really portrayed. Russell was also rather small (considering the size of today’s big men in the NBA), even for those days standing at only 6-foot-8.

Russell is an NBA legend and will forever be in the basketball history books.
