7. Derrick Favors, Utah Jazz

Counting Stats: 16.4 points, 8.1 rebounds,

PER: 21.6

WS: 7.1

VORP: 2.3

If Derrick Favors played for a team in a bigger city or at least one that played on national TV every so often, he’d be a bigger star in the NBA. Unfortunately, he plays for the Utah Jazz. Thus, he’s considered one of the NBA’s most underrated players amongst smart circles.

Favors doesn’t have the most flashiest of games, but he gets the job done on a consistent basis. He can score, defend and rebounds well for his position.

As a bit of a throwback, Favors impresses at almost every facet of the game. Perhaps the biggest thing that gets lost in Favors’ game is the fact that he’s still only 25 years old. It feels like he should be at least 30. His best basketball is still in front of him.
