Jeremy Lin, Brooklyn Nets

Contract: Three-year, $36M

The Brooklyn Nets got a starting point guard in Jeremy Lin for only $12 million per season. That’s probably one of the biggest steals of the summer when looking at the other point guard signings.

Rajon Rondo signed with the Bulls for $14 million per season, and Jarryd Bayless signed with the Philadelphia 76ers for $9 million per year.

When comparing how much Lin’s making compared to those two players, the Brooklyn Nets got a steal in the 27-year-old point guard.

With Shane Larkin and Donald Sloan as the only two point guards on the roster last season, there’s no question that part of the reason why the Nets had a disastrous year was in part because of their weak guard play.

So now, with some key backcourt additions, Brooklyn looks to work its way out of the Eastern Conference cellar. And Jeremy Lin will be a big part of that.
