Brandon Jennings, New York Knicks

Contract: One-year, $5M

After coming back from an Achilles injury, Brandon Jennings had an up-and-down 2015-16 season with the Detroit Pistons/Orlando Magic. He was working his way back into form for much of the year, and he wasn’t able to find any sort of consistency because of it.

But, when healthy, Jennings has shown he can be a top 10 talent at the point guard position. However, with Derrick Rose looking like the starting point guard come opening night for the New York Knicks, Jennings will likely come off the bench, as he looks to be the Knicks Sixth-Man in 2016-17.

In his introductory press conference, Jennings talked about Phil Jackson‘s expectations of him and how the Zen Master believes it’s in the realm of possibly for him to win the Sixth-Man of the year award.

"[via ESPN New York] “He said he expects me to be sixth man of the year,” Jennings said Friday. “So I’m definitely gonna embrace that role. I don’t see why I can’t be in that conversation, and I’m fine with it. I’m definitely fine with it.”"

He seems to really want to embrace this challenge and if he can do just that, it will go a long ways in helping the Knicks get back into the playoffs.
