09-10 Accolades: NBA MVP

None of LeBron James’ individual seasons really jump out at you besides this one. He didn’t break 30 points per game, but in the 2009-10 season LeBron carried the Cleveland Cavaliers in every aspect of basketball.

He was truly unstoppable on both ends of the floor and should have won the Defensive Player of the Year award in addition to the league MVP honors that he took home as well. Unfortunately, the Akron native only took home the NBA MVP this season but, as we know now, that wouldn’t be his last.

During that season, LeBron and the Cavs were knocked out of the playoffs by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
