While I had my reservations to include C.J. McCollum relatively high on this list, I could not drop him any lower than 8th. The biggest concern is that McCollum has only produced for one season, but it was an awfully great campaign.

When the Blazers asked him to produce at a high volume in just his third season, mostly because of the loss of LaMarcus Aldridge, McCollum more than answered the call. He responded in the way of 21 points per game en route to taking home the NBA’s Most Improved Player of the Year award.

McCollum is just getting started, and his first act in the NBA has been a great one.
