Projected Starting Frontcourt: Kent BazemorePaul Millsap, Dwight Howard

Paul Millsap is a really good basketball player – he’s tough down low and posses shooting range. His 21.3 PER was a top-25 ranking last season and he led the league in defensive win shares.

Losing Al Horford is tough and replacing him with Dwight Howard doesn’t necessarily make up for that loss. Howard possessed a -1.1 BP/M last season and isn’t the offensive creator that Horford was.

I like Bazemore as a player, but he certainly isn’t going to be the reason this team succeeds. The Hawks might be taking a step back as the East gets tougher this season.
