NBA: Power Ranking Every Team’s Starting Frontcourt Entering 2016-17
By Tony Webb
13. Minnesota Timberwolves
Projected Frontcourt: Andrew Wiggins, Gorgui Dieng, Karl-Anthony Towns
This is probably about as low as the Wolves will be on this ranking for quite some time. Wiggins improved his shot in year 2 of this career and increased his PPG by three points. Ding has also quietly become a nice starting piece for the Wolves.
E’s a smart player, plays good defense and is competent on the offensive end. Towns, the unanimous Rookie of the Year, started all 82 games last year, averaged a double-double and possessed a 22.5 PER in his first season.
This Towns rookie season explains just how good he was last season. Towns will continue his development as all-star game berths and MVP votes are not too far away.
