The sky is the limit for a Milwaukee Bucks team ready to make some playoff noise

Coming off of their biggest win of the season, a 109-107 win in San Antonio, and doing so without their freshly minted superstar, it’s now time to ask the question. What next for this Milwaukee Bucks team?

To answer questions like this, it’s best to look for a close comparison and we needn’t look far to find a team that not long ago was in their enviable position as a young team with a clear cut superstar and a few others capable of blossoming into perennial all stars.

Welcome to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Oklahoma City Thunder 2.0.

A year into their move from Seattle to Oklahoma City, there were lots of questions about that Thunder team, chief of which was could their new franchise cornerstone grow into franchise savior the way an entire fanbase was praying to the basketball gods would happen?

Would their supremely talented new point guard be able to transcend beyond offensive weapon into the complementary star needed to make any noise? Would these two young players be able carry a franchise on their shoulders and into contention?

Another stellar draft (James Harden) and several deep playoff runs – and a Finals appearance – later, nobody is questioning those players or their ability. We very well could see that former Thunder trio starting for the Western Conference in next month’s All-Star game, and it’s fair to ask now if we could soon see the Eastern Conference All-Star teams similarly filled with the young Bucks.
