Vince Carter Online forum which was a fan site started by Greg Myers in 1999 was a place in which the fanatics of the eight time all star would gather and discuss about Carter’s play night after night.

“There weren’t very many fan sites back in those days. I wanted to create a place where everyone could collaborate and share their experiences with anything pertaining to VC. The site was created during his rookie year when he was the center of attention in the NBA due to his jaw dropping athleticism,” Myers told Sir Charles In Charge.

Although the site was closed for a few years now, a group of highly-esteemed fans managed to unite on Facebook and they were able to produced a video greeting for Carter’s 37th and 38th Birthday behind the leadership of Philipp Bruch who started the Facebook Group entitled Vince Carter Online in 2012.

“So this (Vince Carter Online Facebook Group) started when I noticed that VCO.net started dying and not much was happening. Facebook was getting more popular or already was in 2012 and so I thought we can continue on fb since everyone has that,” Bruch said.

The 37th birthday video who was a collaboration work of Bruch and Patryk Kaluzny along with fans from all over the world got a massive attention that even Carter himself had a say on it.

“I’m absolutely in awe of how amazing my fans are! Thank you so much for the birthday wishes from around the world. I’m beyond grateful for all the friends and fans I’ve made along this journey” Carter posted on his website.
