NBA Trade Rumors: Denver Nuggets Shopping Emmanuel Mudiay?
NBA Trade Rumors: The Denver Nuggets are reportedly quietly dangling Emmanuel Mudiay in the trade market
If the whispers are any indication, the Denver Nuggets figure to be extremely active in the weeks and days leading up to the NBA Trade Deadline.
Just over the last few weeks, we’ve seen Kenneth Faried, Jusuf Nurkic and Wilson Chandler pop up in the rumor mill. Perhaps the most interesting name to surface in trade whispers, however, is Emmanuel Mudiay.
According to ESPN’s Zach Lowe, the Nuggets are also quietly exploring the possibility of moving Mudiay, their lottery pick from 2015. In fairness, this is more about realizing his trade market more-so than just trying to get rid of him.

"[via ESPN]The Nuggets are quietly exploring what they might get for Emmanuel Mudiay and multiple picks, sources say, but they’re in no rush to move Mudiay."
Denver would likely be looking for a veteran star in return for Mudiay. Quite frankly, I’m not sure what team out there would be willing to give up a star for Mudiay. Even though he’s just 20 years old, Mudiay has been a disappointing prospect, to say the least.
Through his first year and a half in the NBA, Mudiay is shooting under 37 percent from the field and a putrid 32 percent from three-point land. Mudiay had one better month this season (December), in which he shot over 40 percent from the field and three-point range, but regressed back to his sub-40 percent shooting in January.

Mudiay is in the second year of his rookie contract, so that alone could provide value enough for an interested team out there. However, as Lowe noted, a trade for Mudiay shouldn’t be expected. It’s just another thing to keep an eye out for.
