NBA Trade Rumors: The Detroit Pistons are reportedly exploring the trade market for Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond

The Detroit Pistons, for the lack of better words, have really struggled this season. At times, they’ve shown their potential. Then again, there are times when they look completely lost on the court.

More often than not, they simply haven’t looked like a team that’s building off their impressive showing in last year’s playoffs.

After a career year last season, Jackson has regressed to a certain extent this year. Jackson is down in both points and field goal percentage this season, which is not exactly what you want to see from a young player coming off a career year.

Interestingly, Andre Drummond’s production has also seen a dip this season. Disappointing seasons from your two best players, who were supposed to take another step in their progression, is not great.

And according to ESPN’s Zach Lowe, the Pistons are reportedly exploring the trade market for both Jackson and Drummond. And both could be available for the right price.

"[via ESPN]Detroit has quietly explored the trade market for each of its franchise centerpieces, according to sources across the league, and come away disappointed with the potential return. (Van Gundy himself has said anyone is available for “the right price.”)Any Drummond deal at the deadline is an extreme long shot, but Jackson remains in play for Minnesota, Orlando, New Orleans, or some mystery destination."

The Pistons are currently sitting in the 8th slot of the Eastern Conference playoff race, but are only one game ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks and just a game and a half ahead of the Charlotte Hornets.

Depending on what happens in the next couple of weeks, the future of the Detroit Pistons is still very much in the air.
