The DeMarcus Cousins saga is over, he has officially been traded. It wasn’t Los Angeles, it wasn’t Boston, not even Washington who sealed the deal, but rather the New Orleans Pelicans

After possibly three years of what seemed like a never ending saga, DeMarcus Cousins has been dealt. Cousins, who made his third All-Star game appearance this season, has been dealt to team up with fellow All-Star Anthony Davis.

Cousins is having another superstar caliber season and putting up MVP numbers, and now he will be paired up with fellow MVP caliber player in Davis.

The trade is a little lackluster on what Sacramento receives. The reports so far say Langston Galloway, rookie Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans and two picks, presumably a first and either a second round pick or another protected first will be exchanged.

This seems rather minuscule compared to what teams like Washington, Los Angeles, and Boston could have offered.
