If the Pelicans make the playoffs, are they a legit threat to Golden State?

Your immediate answer is probably NO. When you think of it, though, the answer is still probably NO.

In all seriousness, though, if the GSW vs NOLA, 1vs 8 matchup does happen, could this upset take place? Honestly, there might be a real shot. The Warriors lack dominant and quality bigs that can bang down low, and now the Pelicans have the best and second best of the latter in the NBA.

The only foreseeable problem with this is that the Pelicans still lack a star ball handler and shooter. Jrue Holiday is a quality handler and shooter, but won’t be enough with Curry and Klay on the other end.

Second, the only real problem with the trade is NOLA gave up their best shooter, Langston Galloway, who led the team in threes. The chances of an upset are extremely low, but the Kentucky duo might be able to pull it off.
