James Johnson, Miami Heat

Turns out, everyone was wrong about James Johnson. Heh.

The 30-year-old forward is having a career awakening year with the Miami Heat this season, while averaging 12 points, five rebounds and three assists per game. He’s also shooting a career-high 49 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range.

Johnson is in the best shape and is playing the best basketball of his life. The Heat have groomed him into a contributing NBA player, something that he simply wasn’t during the last couple seasons of his career.

Question is, will the Heat try to cash-in on their investment, or will they commit to him long-term by electing to sign him this offseason? Depending on what happens at the NBA Trade Deadline, we’ll have an answer.
