Find The Keepers
Kristaps Porzingis is obvious, but outside of him and Hernangomez, it’s unclear who on this team is going to stick around for the long term.
Lance Thomas may seem like an odd starting point, especially after an injury-plagued season, but he is a young 28 thanks to a lot of bench-warming early in his career and is a team-first player on a friendly contract (three more years at six million per).
It also helps that he is still the best defender on the team and has continued to shoot 40 percent from three-point range. Kuzminskas is 27, but has adjusted fairly well to the pro game and shows signs of being a rotation player on a decent team. Then, there is Justin Holiday, who we’ll get back to in a minute.
