Frank Mason III, Kansas

(1) Kansas vs. TBD

Frank Mason III is not one of the one-and-done players. In fact, he’s quite the opposite being one of the few seniors being looked at in the draft. He’s on the smaller side as a 5-foot-11 guard, but if Isaiah Thomas is any

indication, height doesn’t always matter in the NBA.

Mason is a solid scorer, averaging 20.8 points per game in the regular season. It’s a big improvement over his 12.9 average the season before.

Teams that are struggling on the offensive end, or all around like the Suns, Nets, and Lakers, could use the addition of a consistent scorer. He can also dish out the assists when needed. From an offensive standpoint, he’s a great pick and could just use a little more work on his free throws to get into the 80 percent range.

He won’t be one to block shots on the defensive end, but he averaged just over a steal per game this season.
