Jan Vesely (age 27)

Stats: 10.4 points, 4.4 rebounds (Euroleague)

Ok, so I am cheating a bit here. Jan Vesely played in the NBA from 2011 to 2014, mainly suiting up for the Washington Wizards. He was a vastly different player back then though. Vesely manned the 4-spot and averaged 4.7 points per game at his best.

Naturally, he returned to Europe to play under the guidance of legendary coach Zelimir Obradovic at Fenerbahce where he has turned into a dominant center. Even though an injury has sidelined him for a couple of months, he has still managed to average 11 points and five rebounds per game in 20 minutes of playing time, all at the center position.

His aerial dominance and his quick feet has made him an effective weapon through pick’n’roll, while at the same time he has bulked up a lot to be able to handle bigger opponents in the paint. It is obvious he belongs in the NBA and it is doubtful whether the Turkish club will be able to retain his services for any longer.
