With the NCAA’s Sweet 16 tipping off this weekend, we preview the best individual NBA Draft prospect matchups

The NBA potential in the NCAA Tournament has been on full display the first two rounds.  Although March Madness has claimed a bunch of big names, the Sweet Sixteen still has plenty of NBA potential.

Let’s take a look at eight individual matchups to keep your eye on.

Tyler Dorsey (Oregon) vs. Zak Irvin (Michigan)

If you like offense, this will be the matchup for you. Both teams fly up and down the court and the first one to 90 might win this. While Oregon is lead by Dillon Brooks (who is also NBA caliber), Tyler Dorsey might turn out the be the bigger NBA prospect. Dorsey, only a Sophomore, has been absolutely huge for the Ducks in the first two rounds averaging 25.5 PPG and shooting a ridiculous 78% from the field.

Dorsey had a huge Pac-12 tournament as well and is creating major buzz around his name. Look for another big game from Dorsey

Zak Irvin and the Michigan Wolverines have been the feel good story of March following a scary plane incident before the Big Ten Tournament. Michigan is clicking on all levels with a balanced attack of players, but Zak Irvin is the guy to keep your eye on in this one. Irvin has great size at 6-foot-6, with a balanced attack of shooting the ball and aggressively attacking the rim.

The senior is a good spot shooter as well as coming off screens and is always good for a big bucket when the time comes. Irvin is a play maker and a winner, something the NBA is a big fan of.
