Johnathan Motley (Baylor) vs. Sindarius Thornwell (South Carolina)

Motley is a consistent and a near double-double guarantee. Motley has scored in double digits in all but four games this season. His monster 7-foot-3 wingspan and his athleticism creates problems for other teams and his two double-doubles so far in the tourney has lead the Bears to the field of sixteen.

Motley had an impressive game against USC in round two and the Gamecocks will have to find an answer for him. Motley, a junior, might be leaving school early where a late-first round pick is most likely where he will be selected. A long, big man who has scoring ability is highly coveted in the NBA.

I was prepared to be writing about Jayson Tatum, Luke Kennard, or Harry Giles from Duke, but Sindarius Thornwell made sure I would be writing about him and the South Carolina Gamecocks. Thornwell has been an absolute stud in this tournament, averaging 26.5 PPG, 8.5 RPG, and shooting 48% from the field. Thornwell has a killer extinct, tremendous scoring abilities and for a 6-5 guard he crashes the glass hard (7.3 RPG this season). Thornwell could find himself selected in the 2nd round and could be a viable bench contributor in the NBA.
