Ethan Happ (Wisconsin) vs. KeVaughn Allen (Florida)

This is a matchup based on potential and future abilities to be NBA prospects. KeVaughn Allen has been absolutely dreadful for Florida so far in this tournament. Allen is shooting 14% from the field and has a total of 11 points in the first two rounds.

However, Allen is a big time scorer who isn’t afraid to continue to let shots fly. He has really nice touch and a really solid mid-range jumper. Allen lead the Gators in scoring this season and only a Sophomore, he will continue to improve the next couple seasons and could find himself rising the draft boards in a couple years. To beat Wisconsin, Allen will need to show up.

Ethan Happ is the definition of a Wisconsin Badgers player. He has a nice move set as a big man, who has good court vision, can knock down a twelve-footer and competes on every possession. The Sophomore lead the Badgers in rebounding and averaged 13 PPG this season and has had two very nice games in this tournament including big plays in knocking off defending champ, Villanova. Happ should continue to develop and you could see the same path that former Badger big man, Frank Kaminsky took in finding his NBA role.
