Justin Jackson (North Carolina) vs. Kelan Martin (Butler)

Justin Jackson was my pre-tournament pick for a breakout performance and he’s been solid in his two tournament games (18 PPG, 7.5 RPG, 4 APG). Jackson is a smart player, who has vastly improved his shooting all year, averaging 18.6 PPG and shooting 46 percent from the field. If he continues impressing throughout the rest of March, Jackson could find himself in discussion of being a lottery pick.

Kelan Martin is a well-balanced player who does everything quite well. Martin knocks down the mid-range jumper and finishes at the basket nicely. Averaged 16 PPG this season to lead the Bulldogs and has been much more active on the glass and defensive end as the season went on. Being in the spotlight and an impressive performance against the Tar Heels could get Martin’s name more recognition.
