New Orleans Pelicans

Quinn Cook, Cheick Diallo

Cook and Diallo are in the same situation as the Clippers’ rookies. There’s a lot of sitting on the bench going on for them and it’s looking like it will remain that way for the rest of the season.

In fairness, the Pelicans’ top rookie, Buddy Hield, was getting tons of minutes before he was traded to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for DeMarcus Cousins at the NBA Trade Deadline. So it’s not like the Pelicans totally alienate youth.

Diallo isn’t seeing playing time because when you have Cousins and Davis, the playing time for other power forwards is already going to be limited.
