Filling out ballots for the All-NBA teams is always challenging, but this year takes it to a new level. Here are five big questions for voters this season

As the NBA season comes to a close, 100 basketball media members from across the country are in the process of filling out their awards ballots, including their selections for the All-NBA teams. As ESPN’s Brian Windhorst pointed out in a recent article, these All-NBA team votes will have franchise-altering implications:

"There’s a new rule in the collective bargaining agreement that was just passed. If a player is voted to the All-NBA team and has eight or nine years of experience, then he qualifies for a special exception to sign a massive contract with his team for about $75 million more than any other team can pay him."

Add this new layer to the fact that All-NBA appearances play a gigantic role in how we rank NBA stars throughout history and it’s easy to see why this year’s vote is getting so much attention.
