No. 12 Charlotte Hornets- Jarrett Allen (Texas, FR, Center)

I kept Jarrett Allen off my original NBA mock draft 1.0 because I was sure he would return for his Sophomore year at Texas.

After officially declaring, Allen finds himself shoot right up into lottery position. Allen has a soft touch, tremendous rebounding skills and an NBA body (6-11, 235, 7’4 wingspan) that will peak plenty of teams interest come June.

Allen might be a bit of a project and the NBA game will be perhaps too fast for him at first, but the potential is there. For a team that won’t need any prospect to come in and play big minutes right away, the Hornets could be the perfect landing spot for Allen.
