NBA: Breaking Down Every Eastern Conference Rookie, Team-By-Team
Brooklyn Nets
Caris LeVert, Isaiah Whitehead
Caris LeVert has appeared in 56 games for the Nets this season. The Nets really haven’t made any impressions on people this season, but LeVert has some potential. He’s fairly consistent on the scoreboard and can become a solid bench player. He’s not likely to be a starter any time soon, but for the Nets, he doesn’t need to be.
Isaiah Whitehead played in most of the games so far for the Nets. His best game probably came against Phoenix on March 23rd. He filled a good majority of the stats columns, and while they weren’t huge numbers, it was a solid all around performance. Unfortunately, not all of his games look that way. For a point guard, only recording one assist in a good chunk of games isn’t a great sign.
If he can work on his court vision, that would allow him to better set up players with a single pass. Overall, it’s hard to determine the potential of these rookies because they’re on the Nets, who hold the worst record in the league.
