Recent Playoff History

The recent playoff success of the Golden State Warriors are well chronicled. Back-to-back Finals appearances and an NBA championship speak to this. Two seasons ago, they ran through the West in route to a title. Critics placed an asterisk next to that title and for good reason. Every team they played against suffered major injuries. The Warriors were considered more lucky than good that year.

The following year the Warriors seemed to use that as fuel as they absolutely annihilated everyone during the regular season and got through every team in the Western Conference and led 3-1 against the Cavaliers in the NBA finals.

The Warriors were on the brink of capturing another title and closing the mouths of all of their critics. Then, they went on to have the biggest meltdown in NBA Finals history as they were the first team in the Finals to blow a 3-1 series lead. Even with that playoff blunder on their résumé, their recent playoff track record is unmatched.
