NBA Playoff Power Rankings: Is A Cavs, Warriors Rubber Match Inevitable?
7. Boston Celtics
Opponent: Chicago Bulls
The Boston Celtics coming into this season were expected to take a major leap forward but no one outside of Boston could have predicted the phenomenal run they had during the regular season.
Winning 50-plus games for the first time in five years and capturing the No. 1 overall seed in the East. Isaiah Thomas has transformed into a bonafide NBA MVP candidate, Al Horford has fit in seamlessly giving them scoring and playmaking from the low post while Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder have taken their games to another level this year.
Boston does, however, at times have issues scoring the ball and their one of the poorest rebounding teams in the entire league. To truly contend with the elite teams, Boston will need a bit more firepower to get over the hump.
