NBA Playoff Power Rankings: Is A Cavs, Warriors Rubber Match Inevitable?
10. Atlanta Hawks
Opponents: Washington Wizards
The Atlanta Hawks have had an up and down year to say the least. It seemed as though they were giving up on the season when they traded away their leading three-point scorer Kyle Korver for essentially nothing. At the same time, there were whispers that the Hawks were shopping Paul Millsap.
Now, though, the Hawks are in the midst of a winnable playoff series.
Dwight Howard may not be the player he once was but he is still effective on offense and an absolute defensive force. While Dennis Schroder has shown that the Hawks made the right move by handing him the reins of the team and Tim Hardaway Jr is playing out of his mind. The Hawks face a tough first round test against the Wizards but this team has the talent and depth to make some noise in the playoffs.
