Washington Wizards (4) vs. Atlanta Hawks (5) – Is There Anything Else On?

The Atlanta Hawks have been arguably the most inconsistent team this season after scorching the competition in October and November.

Washington has a group of young superstars with aspirations of reaching the Eastern Conference Finals, though Scott Brooks’ earned reputation for simplistic late game offense could allow the Hawks to make this a competitive series.

This series won’t have the pizzazz of typical 4-5 showdowns because Atlanta’s two best players are their power forward and center, whereas Washington’s are their point guard and shooting guard. Typically, positional battles are what elevate series’ from good to great, and this series offers nothing of the sort.

Perhaps the most interesting subplot will be seeing at what point Atlanta’s notoriously disloyal fans begin cheering for the Wizards.
