Four landing spots for Dwyane Wade this summer
LA Clippers
One option for the legendary shooting guard could be to go out West. There is no telling what the Clippers will do with their big three of Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin. After numerous seasons featuring success in the regular season and almost no success whatsoever in the postseason, it may be time to dismantle the team.

However, Wade could come in and potentially alleviate the situation. Now, how in any conceivable way is there room for a star like Wade in a team already featuring three all-star caliber talents? Good question. It’s frighteningly easy and frankly scary.
Current shooting guard J.J. Redick is an unrestricted free agent now that the Clips have entered the offseason. He is looking for a raise after settling for $7 million a year for the last few seasons. He is a great shooter, but that clearly isn’t enough to get the job done. Also, on nights where he just can’t find the bottom of the net, he’s more of a liability than an asset.
If someone like Dwyane Wade will be available, why pay a lot for Redick? The Clippers are clearly in win-now mode. Chris Paul is in the tail end of his career, while Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan are in the prime of their careers. Adding a talented veteran like Wade could be the missing piece in the lineup for Wade.
Also, having Jamal Crawford around to spell Wade every few games would be invaluable. Wade sat periodically this past season with the Bulls and cannot play every single night. Crawford could come right in and keep things under control as he already does with Redick. However, Wade is obviously an upgrade from the streaky shooting Duke product.
If the front office has any intention of keeping the core of the team together, the addition of Wade could be the missing piece of the puzzle. He could keep the core of the franchise in LA if all goes well. Don’t be surprised if management realizes that Wade coming to LA is actually quite possible, and Redick finds a new home this offseason.
