NBA Rumors: Assuming that Kyle Lowry will opt out of his contract, here are five potential landing spots for him in free agency

One day after being eliminated in four games by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, Kyle Lowry made it official. He intends to opt out of the final year of his contract, and will officially become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Coming off the best season of his career, Lowry, 31, will likely command plenty of interest on the open market. Lowry averaged 22.4 points, seven assists and nearly five rebounds per game during the 2016-17 season. He also shot a career-best 46 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range.

Question is, where will Lowry head? And that’s a funny question, considering that he also told reporters that his decision will come down to one thing – giving him the best chance to win a ring.

Considering that he won’t sign for the minimum to play for the Golden State Warriors or Cleveland Cavaliers, Lowry is in quite the conundrum. Nevertheless, whoever Lowry signs with this offseason, you better believe it’ll be a team that is closer to contending than not.

With that in mind, here are five potential landing spots for Kyle Lowry this summer.
