Honorable Mention: Philadelphia 76ers

I know this doesn’t exactly line up with winning a ring at all cost, but considering that Kyle Lowry is from the area and that they will be pursuing him this summer – per ESPN’s Zach Lowe – it’s at the very least a possibility.

The odds don’t favor the Sixers landing Lowry, but it could be an interesting landing spot nonetheless.

Consider a lineup of Lowry, Malik Monk (via the NBA Draft), Ben Simmons, Dario Saric and Joel Embiid – I mean, that isn’t good enough to unseat LeBron James in the East, but that’d be awfully entertaining.

The Sixers likely miss out of the big free agent this summer, but they’re eventually going to get one. And, hey, who better than the hometown kid?
