Patrick Beverley made his case for “Troll MVP” this season

Patrick Beverley, the point guard for the Houston Rockets, is definitely one of the trolliest trolls out there.

Beverley is the best perimeter defender on the Rockets. Why is this important, you might ask? Well, this just adds to his trolling persona. He can rough you up on the defensive end and carelessly troll you while dominating you. Russell Westbrook was the latest victim of the “Beverley experience.”

The Rockets just finished their first round bout vs. the Thunder and Westbrook was trolled by Beverley almost every game.

The most recent example isn’t even during the game, it was after the game during the postgame podium.

At the end of Game 5, Beverley was fielding questions from reporters and a reporter inquired about an incident in the game where Beverley and Westbrook exchanged words.

Here is Beverley’s response:

The main takeaway from the video is that Beverley doesn’t hold back and won’t stand for any shade thrown his way.

"Beverley said that Westbrook yelled, “No one can guard me!” His response? “That’s nice, but it took you 34 shots to get it.” Cold blooded Bev."

This reminds me of a scenario where Westbrook is a middle school kid on the court playing against high schoolers, Beverley is the high schooler in this scenario. The high schoolers are letting the little middle score and are toying with him at the same time. Then the little guy exclaims that he is the best player in the world, and the high schoolers won’t tolerate that nonsense.

So, naturally, they own him and as the high schoolers are walking away they pat the little guy on the head and say, “you’ll get there someday kid.”

Just remember, “men lie, women lie, but numbers don’t.” Never change, Bev.
