1. Markelle Fultz, PG, Washington

Draft Projection: Top 2

Markelle Fultz is essentially the consensus No. 1 overall pick in next month’s NBA Draft. The Boston Celtics, who hold the top pick, should draft Fultz and they probably will. The only thing that could keep them away from selecting him is the fact that they already have a top point guard.

However, the overwhelming opinion is that Fultz should still be the pick.

What The Experts Say:

"[via The Step Back] He’s an upright dribbler at the top of his move who wins almost entirely with his actual handle by way of change of speed and direction shiftiness, deception, flexibility and the ability to pull-up on a dime going any direction, at any moment."

There’s no doubt in my mind that Fultz will be able to come in and contribute right away, whether that be in a starting role or as the backup for Isaiah Thomas. Even though Fultz shot 47 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range, I’m still not sold on his ability to hit down a consistent jumper at the next level. If he can, though, he’s the complete package.
