In our 2017 NBA Mock Draft 3.0, we look at the best fits for prospects now that the draft order is set

The scouting combine is in the book and the NBA draft lottery has taken place, we’re just a month away until we find out who goes where. Here is our NBA mock draft 3.0 based on the official draft order.

No. 1 Boston Celtics (Via Brooklyn) Markelle Fultz (Washington, FR, Point Guard)

Boston fell in the Eastern Conference Finals at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they already have a big victory in landing the top spot in the 2017 NBA Draft.

Many could make the case that the Celtics are set at the point guard position, yet Boston needs to take Markelle Fultz. Fultz averaged 23.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists in his solo campaign at Washington. He has great length, range and crazy athleticism to play either guard spot, Fultz would fit next to Isaiah Thomas just fine in the backcourt.

Plain and simple, Fultz is the best player available. He could be the one to help Boston get closer to dethroning the King and the Cavs.
